1. The Door That Breathes

Below the oldest mound, Tobin found a sealed stone door — and swears it exhales. The order's records call it the Crypt of the Founders and say it was sealed from OUTSIDE. Something has been knocking from within. First, secure the approach: the mound-guard dead are already up.

Objectives

Rewards

2. The Sealing Record

Who sealed the crypt, and why, is written in ciphers the Hollowed Hand has been buying up for months. Their courier-mages carry the last pages. Relieve them of history.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 10,000 Thieving XP
  • 6,000 gp

3. Silver for the Second Seal

The record is grim: the crypt holds the Hollow Saint's first victims, and the seal is failing. Before anyone opens that door on purpose, a second seal must be ready to close behind them. It wants more silver than the ridge can give. Mine what you can, and Maren will open the order's coffers for the rest.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 8,500 Mining XP
  • 6,500 gp

4. Casting the Ward-Rings

The second seal is a ring of silver set into the threshold stone. The forge-choir sings low while you smelt — nobody jokes near this work. Cast the bars, and Maren adds the order's old silver, enough for the ward-plate to come.

Objectives

Rewards

5. The Rite of Quieting

The record's instruction for opening the door safely: quiet the ground above it first, so nothing outside answers what's inside. Bury great bones in the pattern the record draws — a spiral, inward.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 7,000 Prayer XP
  • 7,000 gp

6. Shoring the Descent

The stair beyond the door — the record maps it — drops forty fathoms through mound-fill that hasn't been trusted in centuries. Cut yew shoring for every span of the descent.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 70,000 Woodcutting XP
  • 7,000 gp

7. Robbers at the Threshold

The Hollowed Hand knows the seal is failing too — that's what the grave-robbers were digging toward all along. Their best crew makes for the door tonight. They don't reach it.

Objectives

Rewards

8. Breaking the Seal

Silvered ward-plate for the vanguard — you — hammered and blessed in one firing. When the last strap is buckled, Maren speaks the unsealing word, the stone door swings inward on dark stairs, and cold air that hasn't moved in four hundred years breathes out past you. THE DESECRATED CRYPT IS OPEN. What waits below is yours to face.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 9,000 Smithing XP
  • 8,000 gp
  • 36 gems

9. The First Descent

Torch in one hand, trowel in the other, you take the forty-fathom stair. The dead of the crypt have waited centuries for a visitor — they are not gentle hosts. Clear the Desecrated Crypt for the first time.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 10,000 Prayer XP
  • 8,500 gp

10. The First Hall, At Rest

What you carried up from the first hall fills three sacks: the founders' own dead, stolen from their niches and piled like refuse by whatever the Saint left below. Give them back their rest, one rite at a time.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 8,500 Prayer XP
  • 8,500 gp

11. Her Hounds at the Door

The Saint feels every clear like a wound — and sends the wrong-eyed pack to hold the crypt door against you. The order's watch needs your blade on the mound tonight.

Objectives

Rewards

12. The Middle Halls

The crypt runs deeper than the record mapped — hall after hall of desecrated rest. Work it methodically: descend, clear, carry the stolen dead up into daylight. Clear the Desecrated Crypt five times.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 12,000 Prayer XP
  • 9,500 gp

13. Adamantite for the Deep Doors

The middle halls end at doors of rotted iron the founders never meant to open again. Replacing them after the work is done will take adamantite. Mine the deep seam.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 9,500 Mining XP
  • 9,500 gp

14. The Paupers of the Crypt

Behind the rotted doors: the crypt's pauper-shelves, centuries of the nameless dead the founders took in when no one else would. The Saint fed on them first and longest. It takes days, and you do it anyway — every last one.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 9,000 Prayer XP
  • 10,000 gp

15. The Ossuary Depth

Below the pauper-shelves lies the ossuary depth, where the Ossuary Golem walks its endless circuit. Every clear now weakens the Saint's hold on the crypt itself. Clear the Desecrated Crypt fifteen times.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 15,000 Prayer XP
  • 11,000 gp

16. The New Deep Doors

The forge-choir hammers your adamantite into the crypt's new deep doors — hung, barred and blessed, so that when this is over the founders' rest can never be robbed again. Smelt the bars they still need.

Objectives

Rewards

17. Keeper of the Deep

Maren no longer walks the descent with you — 'the crypt answers its Keeper now,' she says, and means it. Answer it in kind: seal the plundered side-galleries yourself, a great bone laid beneath every broken niche.

Objectives

Rewards

  • 9,000 Prayer XP
  • 12,000 gp
  • 40 gems

18. The Hollow Saint's Vigil

In the lowest hall the Hollow Saint's entombed body stands its corrupted vigil, and only relentless, patient clearing will scour her hold from the stone — descent after descent, rite after rite, until the crypt is silent because it is finally AT PEACE. Clear the Desecrated Crypt thirty times. When the last hall falls quiet, you find it leaning against her empty tomb: the founders' own grave-spade, silver-shod and waiting for a Keeper worthy of carrying it.
