What is DragonScape Idle?

DragonScape Idle is a free idle role-playing game that runs in a web browser. You train 19 skills from level 1 to 99, work through quests, fight through combat areas and dungeons, and your character keeps going while the tab is closed. There is nothing to download and no account is needed to start.

It is a single-player game in the classic skilling tradition: pick an activity, watch it tick, spend what it produces on the next thing.

The skills

Fishing, Woodcutting, Cooking, Mining, Smithing, Firemaking, Crafting, Fletching, Thieving, Exploring, Melee, Ranged, Magic, Hitpoints, Runecrafting, Farming, Prayer, Brewing and Pets.

Every one runs from level 1 to 99 and has its own page here, listing each action with its level requirement, XP, duration and what it consumes or produces. Start at the skills index.

What makes it different

Offline time is replayed, not estimated. Most idle games hand you a lump of resources based on a rate when you come back. This one re-runs the window you were away for: the same actions, the same drop rolls, the same quest credit you would have earned sitting there. That is why an offline return can complete a quest objective or drop a rare item. The window is capped at 12 hours to begin with, and permanent shop upgrades raise it by an hour at a time, up to 12 extra hours.

The numbers are public and generated. Every stat table on this wiki is built from the game's own data files on each release, so the drop rates and XP values here are the ones the game uses. Nothing is typed by hand and nothing drifts after a balance patch. See money making and XP rates, both computed with the game's own formulas.

The combat triangle matters. Melee beats Ranged, Ranged beats Magic, Magic beats Melee, and picking the wrong style against a monster is a real penalty rather than a rounding error. How combat works.

Things worth knowing before you start

  • A guest save lives in your browser only. Clearing site data deletes it. Signing in is the way to make progress durable and to move between a phone and a desktop.
  • The game is in open beta and is still being balanced, so rates can change between releases.
  • The item, monster and skill icons are AI-generated images. The game's code, design and content are the developer's own work.
